The RZA vs Sam L
Round 3 of 3
Sports betting for emotional support and regulation
My thought is that I wanted to brag about the most amazing sports bet I ever placed, and also share my rationale for betting. This also can serve as a test for paragraphing, photo attachment, and tagging.
I place small bets against my favorite team in order to soften the blow if they lose. In the event that my team wins, I will be happy for the win. In the event that they lose, I will be cheered because I will make money.
Recently, five games would decide if my favorite hockey team could break a 10 year drought. I placed a parlay bet against those 5 outcomes.

Thought you might like to test out what it's like to duolog. And to further illustrate my point, here is a video of a cat meowing.

Cool. I wonder about negotiating terms. Will rejecting videos break a duolog that already has a duolog?1

Round 2
The RZA
The RZAThere isn't really a way to reject video so to speak. I suppose you could negotiate for 0 seconds, and I'd the other person agrees to it, that's fine. But it shouldn't break the duologs. (Side not this reminds me I'd like to add a feature where enclosing a word in asterisks will italicize a word)
But videos are still pretty far down the pipeline. We'll have to secure some type of business model, or maybe use Patreon, to slowly roll out video support for videos. That's likely going to be the biggest expense for the site is storage for videos in duologs.
I'm not sure if the negotiation of terms in the Duolog is working as intended or if I misunderstand.
Based on my best understanding, responded to your proposal with a counter proposal where I set the video length to 0. I have not, to my knowledge, responded to a counter offer. However, it appears as if I have accepted the terms1.
Additionally, I don't understand how, if I didn't accept the terms, we are in round 3?
I am also going to flick your previous comment just for fun, to see how that works.
It also crossed my mind that I wonder if I can manually reference a footnote by typing 1 instead of using the insert thing and it does work! 2 what if I don't have a second footnote but I type one anyway? Does that break anything?
Ok, so I am maybe messing with too many things in a single message, but I also wanted to see how the word limit is enforced and what that looks like.

Those got me close to the limit and, now I can see that it simply changes to red in the word count, but allows me to continue writing. Will I get an error when I attempt to post it? Ah! The Upload button is greyed out which is really a polished touch!

The proposal negotiation will show up when you first "Review Duolog Request" in your Duolog inbox.1 From there you will see "Review Format". If you change anything in that box, it will send another format negotiation notification to the challenger until both parties finally accept.
If you look there, you'll also see the opening argument included in the Duolog Request Review. That opening argument counts as the first round regardless of whether or not you accept said duolog. This is a mechanism meant to help you sift through which duolog request(s) you want to accept. If you get a dozen or so duolog requests from one post, you're more likely to engage with the person (or people) who has the higher user score, and a better thought out opening argument. This is by design to help you weed out the bad actors from the get go, and have the potential for the most productive conversation.
And right now I'm seeing a bug on the flicking. Even though I selected the text "I am also going to flick your previous comment just for fun, to see how that works.", and the flicking process showed thats what I had selected, it has highlighted the punctuation before, and cut off the end off the sentence, despite me trying to correct it three times now. Yay new bugs.

Round 3
S
Sam LThe flick bug affects me as well - it is selecting the prior few characters. However, I do think the hovering Flick prompt is pretty awesome after selecting text. I don't know if mid-40's dad's are the target demographic, but I do really like the design and color pallet for the sight (orange happens to be a favorite).
